Set who can see the Report publisher menu

Administrators can set the minimum user level to see the menu from the Service maintenance screen.  For example, set the minimum user level to 2 to allow all internal users to view the menu where they can:

• Create ‘individual’ events that are not seen by other users, or
• Have read only access to ‘global’ reporting events.

Global versus individual reporting events

Anyone can use Report publisher to create their own reporting events. These are referred to as ‘individual’ reporting events. This means no one else can them see them, and reports within these events cannot be shared.

It is also possible for users with the Reporting event administrator role to create ‘global’ reporting events. That is, events that are visible to all users as long as a report in that event has been shared with them for at least one of their portfolios.

Reporting event administrator role

By default, this role has been assigned to all level 12 administrators who have been actively generating reports in your service; however, anyone with the role of ‘User Administrator’ can assign this to other users within your service on the Maintenance > User maintenance > My user details screen.

Users with this role can create global reporting events, and generate and share reports within these events
